Believing in someone or something that created the universe or at least initiated the "Big Bang", that I understand. But all organised religions are quite clearly a load of bullshit. How can anyone not see that?

Sure some of the moral values associated with religions are a good thing, but why you need to believe a load of mystical bullshit about people performing impossibilities, claiming to be sent by a nonexistent God, claiming to have been born to a virgin (yeah right), claiming to be the son of God, an apostle, a prophet, or God itself, is totally beyond comprehension. I am quite capable of holding a decent set of moral values without filling my head with a load of nonsensical superstition and hearsay.

All of these things I do not understand. I can however accept them. What I cannot accept are creationists. You must have to be a superior kind of retarded to genuinely believe that the Earth is roughly 6000 years old. And to claim to take the bible word for word literally, and yet not stone rebellious children to death as was stated should be done in the bible.

Underneath all this bullshit though, is the single greatest cause of war, mass murder and massacre. Organised religion is the absolute bane of humanity. It serves no discernible purpose any more, and it's only prior purpose really was to levy taxes from the peasants.

This will sound contradictory I know, but people should believe whatever they choose to believe. But what they choose to believe should be something they have come to their own conclusions about without anyone telling them what they should, or could believe. Personal, individual belief, based on your life experience, not a book that even assuming it was originally the word of God, has been rewritten and rewritten by man for thousands of years and utterly bastardized from it's original text. And not only that, but edited by the only people who could read and write, the monks, who had a vested interest in manipulating people to pay taxes and keep them in fear of Gods wrath.

Well we have another General Election coming up in a few days, and the media has reduced the whole thing to a farce. Fucking televised "debates", pricks visiting places they would never normally dream of going just to try and curry favour with the electorate (who mostly won't even bother to vote since it doesn't really seem to matter who is in 'power' so long as someone somewhere is seen to be vaguely controlling the running of the country), and paparazzi photographers and cameramen trying to capture anything remotely humiliating about any of the candidates. Seems our election system is becoming more like the sensationalised American campaign trail rather than actually focusing on anything remotely relevant to the country's future. Gordon Brown called some old bitch 'sort of bigoted', which you might not realise since EVERY report seemed to imply he had simply called her a bigot. Sort of bigoted is a long way from saying she IS a bigot for starters, plus the stupid old cow probably was a fucking bigot, half the country is anyway so what difference does it make? David Cameron, it seems, is the media's favourite to win. After all it's Labours fault we were in a recession, and nothing to do with a global economic crisis. Plus he's young, has a fairly attractive (pregnant) wife, and he hasn't yet had a chance to be in 'power' when the country has gone to shit (so he has as clean a record as any politician can hope to have). Of course nobody seems to mind that his wife is about to drop their baby and he'll be too knackered to do his job properly if he's elected, or, and this is much worse, he'll be a bad father. You can guarantee if he gets into power and doesn't spend enough time with his newborn the media will have a shit storm about that, and vice versa if he doesn't spend enough time running the country. As for Clegg, well we won't give the Liberal Democrats a chance to run the country. Not that it matters because things would still be perceived as going to shit regardless of who is in 'power' because we all remember the bad and forget the good. That's assuming the good is ever actually reported. Which it rarely is. Either way, as unpopular as it might make me, I'll be voting Labour this election, since I actually quite like Gordon Brown. He lacks the charisma necessary to successfully lie to the nation, and therefore is probably the best choice. Of course this lack of ability to lie to people is why he's so unpopular, because the masses don't actually like the naked truth.

However, quite expectedly, when I tried to post my comment there was a convenient server error. Just for everyones reading the URL in question is http://www.weightlossproductreviews.co.uk/amysstory.php

The comment I attempted to post was thus:

"How to lose weight. Stop eating as much as you currently do, but not drastically. Ideally work out your current calorie intake and reduce it but at the same time making sure you are eating a varied diet with appropriate amounts of fat, protein and carbohydrate along with foods containing the all necessary vitamins. On top of that try to just move more, not necessarily exercise excessively, just walk more than usual, or move around more. Cleaning your house is good exercise too. The two things combined will gradually lead to weight loss. Gradually IS the only way you will EVER lose weight. Ignore what is said on here. Even if it is true for this one "person", very very few people could ever benefit from this. All people will, however, benefit from a slight reduction in intake and a slight increase in activity, then after a while (if your original intake was REALLY high), another decreasing of intake and slight increase of activity. Fad diets will never work."

The honest fact of the matter is, that is the only way to lose weight. Ironically, fasting diets actually only serve to make you fatter, because the period of starvation causes your body to try and store as much fat as it can the next time you actually eat, such that it is preparing for the next period of starvation. What annoys me most about this bullshit is that everyone KNOWS what I have just said is true deep down, but very few people are willing to accept it. They just want to lose weight without any effort. But for overweight people, losing weight is just as difficult as an alcoholic trying to curb their alcohol addiction (I should know). There is, and never will be, a quick fix. If you really want to lose weight you will do the difficult thing and do it. If you don't really want to, just accept being fat and dying younger. Ultimately if you're enjoying your life that is all that matters. The only definity of anyones life is their death, we will ALL die, and ultimately, even if you have a profound impact on humanities future thinking, in the grand scheme of things it is still MASSIVELY irrelevant.

So yeah, be fat, be thin, be whatever you want. But if you want to lose weight, do what I said. And I say that with absolutely no dietary education, but I can guarantee any doctor you ask about it will agree.

The following is an old article resurrected from an old site, but I liked it so much I thought I'd bring it back from oblivion.

Now I'm sure there's plenty of other articles on the
internet detailing how dire Windows Vista is. But since yesterday I was
forced to install it since I did something stupid and left my Windows
2000 installation unbootable, and then discovered the only working
installation disc I had was for Vista, I am currently in the process of
being angered to the point of mindless screaming.

Aside
from the constant requests for authorisation to do fucking ANYTHING (I
had to click 14 fucking times to confirm installing Flash Player for
fucks sake), the OS itself is about as fucking stable as I am. It's
reset itself 4 times already today. I'm in the process of downloading a Windows 2000 installation disc, but of course Vista doesn't seem to like
any of my bittorrent clients, so that constantly crashing is prolonging
the agony of the time I have to spend using this shite.

Then of course there's Microsoft's apparent inability to
program a reasonably accurate progress estimation bar, which would be perfectly
adequate if they used simple fucking division.

To the untrained eye this might not seem like such a
fucking ridiculous screenshot. But when you consider that it's telling
me it will take 19 hours to transfer the files, and it ACTUALLY took 10
minutes, it's difficult to see how Microsoft could have gotten this so
fundamentally wrong.

For
example, there is 11.4gb remaining to transfer. That is roughly
11,674mb. It handily tells me the speed at which the transfer is going.
So 11,674 / 18.5 = 631 seconds. 631 / 60 = 10.5 minutes. Simple. So how
the FUCK did it think it would take 19 cunting hours?

And finally another small irritation (there are lots of
others but I could literally go on forever and the chances are, it would
crash and reset before I had chance to finish writing), the new
Internet Explorer. When you open a new tab, and it shows you a page
entitled "Welcome to Tabbed Browsing", like it's some new fucking
innovation.

	With tabs you can:
	-
Use one Internet Explorer window to view all your webpages.
	- Open
links in a background tab while viewing the page you're on.
	- Save
and open multiple webpages at once by using favorites and home page
	tabs.

Like I fucking need that
explaining. Like ANYONE needs that explaining. Even the computer
illiterate could work it out eventually. But well done Microsoft, on a
new feature that CLEARLY you invented. It's not like other, better,
browsers haven't had this wonderous ability for fucking years is it?

It's
